Why join the AKA??
Good question!! The short answer--it's what serious kiters do!!
The AKA published 'Kiting' magazine is a terrific journal and the only kite magazine published in North America. This quarterly color publication includes news on kite festivals around the country, a calendar of events, kite plans, and plenty of news about kite flying and kite people.
But many other benefits come with membership. Members receive liability insurance to protect them in the event of a kite accident at club events, a 10% discount at more than 100 member kite stores, monthly email updates, a directory of worldwide members, and a solid connection with other active kiters engaged in kite education, competitions and kite making.
